THE ONE ANOTHER COMMANDS

October 9, 2022

What’s the most amazing thing about Moses? I am still amazed by the miracles and wonders the Lord performed through Him. His commitment to intercession on the behalf of Israel reveals a man very passionate about God’s plan through His people. His many hours spent in the presence of God reveal a man so enamored by God and captivated with communion with Him.

But how about his character? Isn’t the most startling thing about his life? “Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men who were upon the face of the earth.” Numbers 12:3

The most explicit commands we often break

As I was reflecting on this, I was remorsefully chocked. I realized that though God calls me to a high standard when it comes to loving my neighbor, I have often failed to faithfully observe the most explicit N.T commands about love. But worse, I rarely make commitment in a very intentional way to obey these biblical imperatives. How about you? My prayer is that as we re-read them, the Lord call us again to radically cultivate these community values.
